East Africa: Magufuli Lands in Uganda for EAC Heads of State Meeting

PRESIDENT John Magufuli yesterday arrived in Uganda ahead of the 19th East African Community (EAC) Heads of State meeting.

The Head of State met his Ugandan counterpart, Yoweri Museveni who is also the EAC Chairperson at the Entebbe State House.

According to a statement released by the Directorate of Presidential Communications, the 19th EAC Summit is scheduled to take place tomorrow in Kampala, Uganda.

At Entebbe International Airport, Dr Magufuli was received by Uganda Minister for Foreign Affairs Sam Kutesa.

He later headed to State House where he met his host, President Museveni.

Today, President Magufuli is expected to attend a special meeting on infrastructure and health along with other Heads of States, before attending the 19th EAC Summit.
