Gambia: Cement Dealers, Retailers Invited As Price Escalate

The Gambia Competition and Consumers Protection Commission (GCCPC) has invited cement dealers and retailers for a meeting with regard to the recent price increase on cement.

In a press release sent to this medium the institution said that it has come to its notice that the retail price of cement has increased from D235.00 in January to D335.00 in February 2018.

The release added that the commission has conducted a preliminary inquiry into the matter in line with section 15k of the competition Act 2007 and would like to invite all stakeholders (cement dealers and retailers to a meeting on Tuesday 27th, 2018 at GCCPC).
