Sudan: Al-Basher Arrives in Kigali

Kigali — President Of the Republic, Field Marshal, Omar Al-Basher arrived in the Rwandan capital of Kigali to participate in the African Union (AU) extraordinary summit which will be hosted by Rwanda on March 20-21 to review the establishment of the African Free Trade Area.

SUNA learnt that African Heads of state and Chairpersons of organs of the African Union will hold a closed session tomorrow, Wednesday, to adopt the agenda, work program and legal frameworks for the African Free Trade Area.

The session will be addressed by the President of the Republic of Niger and the African Free Trade Area.

The summit will begin with the national slogan of the African Union. The speakers will then hear the speech of the Rwandan President and African Union President Paul Kagame, as well as speeches by the heads of African economic groups and representatives of the private sector in the African countries.

The Heads of State and Government will also sign tomorrow the founding agreement for the African Free Trade Area.
