Nigeria: Alleged Rape of Toddler - in Tears, Mother Narrates Story

The mother of "Child X", the 35-month-old Chrisland school pupil, allegedly raped by Adegboyega Adenekan, a 47-year-old supervisor in the school, on Wednesday broke down in tears while giving evidence at an Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the mother (name withheld) in a lengthy four-hour testimony while being led in evidence by Jide Boye, the Chief State Counsel, at the start of her evidence gave a narrative of how she knew the defendant.
