Nigeria: Hope Rises for Healthcare Financing in Nigeria

Following the successful inaugural THISDAY Healthcare Financing Summit in Abuja recently, the National Assembly says it is now pushing for the implementation of the Basic Healthcare Provision Fund under the National Health Act, and is recommending that the federal government declares a state of emergency in the health sector.
