South Africa: Sprinters Simbine, Bruintjies Into 100m Final

Athletics blasted into action at the Commonwealth Games on Sunday, with Team South Africa sprinters Akani Simbine and Henricho Bruintjies both booking their spots in Monday's 100-metre final, writes MARK ETHERIDGE in Gold Coast, Australia.

Bruintjies was in the second of three semi-finals and had a great second sector to end second behind Enoch Adegoke of Nigeria who won in 10.24 secs.
