Sudan: Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Meets United Nations Women's Commissioner

Khartoum, — The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mohammad Abdulla Idriss, met, Sunday, in his office, the Regional Representative of the UN Women's Committee.

The Minister, during the meeting, expressed his thanks to the UN official for the efforts of the Commission to empower and develop women in Sudan, pointing to the representation of women in parliament, the civil service and educational institutions in Sudan, as well as, the important role being played by women in all fields.

He welcomed the new Director of the office of the Commission in Sudan, Adjaratou Fatou Ndiaye, who will take office in the near future.
