A glimpse of EFF-ANC toenadering emerged in a curious twist in the House on Wednesday when the DA asked Deputy President David "DD" Mabuza whether he'd met anyone from the EFF for talks. This followed discussions between the chief whips of political parties a few hours earlier when the EFF asked for a reduction in the number of times the deputy president was expected at the podium to answer questions. The EFF was unhappy that this was raised "opportunistically" in the House. Mabuza said he's available for Q&As as often as wanted, but didn't actually answer the question about meetings with the EFF.
