Angola: Secretary of State Praises of Sports Officials' Contribution

Luanda — The Secretary of State for Sports, Carlos Almeida, hailed on Thursday in Luanda the openness and the contribution of the sports officials, during a seminar that discussed the Patronage Law and Sports Law.

Carlos Almeida, spoke to the press at the end of the 1st Seminar on Patronage Law and Sports Law, said that the agents showed their concerns in a frontal and transparent way and the possible changes to be implemented in the future.

"For us some ideas will be taken as guidance because to govern is to share and with this spirit we will walk," he said.

He said that this is a very useful exercise and that they have received many subsidies from the cultural sector that is a pioneer in the Patronage Law in Angola, as well as information on some shortcomings and noncompliances of some sports officials.
