Sudan: Minister of Defense Expresses Sudan' Satisfaction Over UNISFA Distinguished Performance

Khartoum — Minister of Defense, Lt. Gen. Awad Mohamed Ahmed Ibn Auf has expressed Sudan satisfaction over distinguished performance and significant roles being carried out by the UN Interim Security Forces in Abyei according to its mandate within UN Protocol on Abyei.

Receiving the new UNISFA Commander in his office Monday , the Minister stressed Sudan keenness to meet its commitments and maintain normal relations with the South Sudan State by putting consideration to specialty of relations between the two countries.

Lt. Gen. Ibn Auf expressed readiness of his Ministry to provide every possible support and assistance to UNISFA to enable it fully carry out its mission.

UNISFA Commander , for his part, expressed gratitude over wide cooperation from Government of Sudan and support from all institutions concerned with UNISFA work.
