South Africa: Unlicensed Firearm and Ammunition Taken Off Grassy Park Streets

Vigilance of the Grassy Park police led to the arrest of a 31-year-old man who was found to be in possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition at Moosa Walk, Parkwood, Grassy Park. Today police were doing crime prevention patrols in the area when the saw two men who started running when they saw the police approaching. Police pursued them and arrested one of them. A body search was conducted and police found a 9mm Parebellum and seven live rounds. The man will appear in the Wynberg Magistrates' Court soon.
