South Africa: Protests Block Fire and Rescue Officials From Putting Out Cape Town Fire

Fire and rescue officials were unable to reach a burning municipal vehicle on NY1 and Govan Mbeki Road in Cape Town on Friday morning due to protests.

"Officials were unable to extinguish the fire due to the volatility of protesters in the area," said City of Cape Town Fire and Rescue spokesperson Theo Layne.
