President Abdel Fattah El Sisi Wednesday expressed Egypt's keenness on continuing coordination with Saudi Arabia to settle regional issues and confront terrorism .
During a meeting with Saudi Minister of State for African Affairs Ahmed al Qattan, President Sisi hailed strategic and deeply-rooted relations between Egypt and Saudi Arabia .
The president asked Qattan to convey his greetings to King Salman bin Abdul Aziz al Saud ,the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques and Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman, Presidential spokesman Bassam Rady said .
Qattan, for his part, voiced the kingdom's willingness to expand the level of cooperation and coordination with Egypt in all fields to overcome challenges facing the region .
The meeting also tackled means of boosting cooperation with African countries to make use of their capabilities and resources .
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and acting chief of Egypt's intelligence Service Abbas Kamel attended the meeting .
The meeting between President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Saudi Minister of State for African Affairs Ahmed Qattan was fruitful as it took up many files such as expanding cooperation between the two countries to increase development projects in Africa, said Presidential spokesman Bassam Rady .
In statements to Extra News Channel Wednesday, Rady said that the Egyptian-Saudi relations are profound, special and outstanding in their strategic nature .
Talks between President Sisi and the Saudi Minister tackled many axes topped by the regional situation and bilateral files .
Cooperation between Egypt and Saudi Arabia and a number of African countries in carrying out development projects especially in the fields of infrastructure, trade and energy, was also probed .
The meeting took up also combating terrorism and exchanging information in this regard, besides the latest developments in the Syrian and Palestinian files .
