Angola: President Authorizes Entry of Used Vehicles Up to Six Years

Luanda — The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, signed Monday in Luanda a decree that allows the importation of used light truck equipment, with a maximum of six years, counted from the date of the first registered registration, of its manufacture or use.

The decree also allows the importation of used heavy road equipment, with a maximum of ten years, counted from the date of the first registered registration, its manufacture or use. This decree introduces changes to the import regime for used cars, making the terms of the procedure more flexible, taking into account the current context of difficulties in the acquisition, trade and technical assistance of road equipment.
