The suspension of the Member of Parliament for Nata/Gweta Paulson Majaga from Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) for 60 days is about to elapse and the party is allegedly caught in a political dilemma.
The party promised to conduct investigations and/or carry out disciplinary proceedings in light of the serious charges laid against Majaga but nothing has been done. Majaga was suspended from the BDP after he was charged with defiling and impregnating a 16-year-old schoolgirl from Malelejwe cattle post. He is currently out on bail and appeared for mentioning last week in Nata.
