Angola: Over 650 HIV/Aids Positive Cases Reported in Cunene

Ondjiva — At least 650 new HIV/AIDS positive cases were diagnosed in the first half of this year in the Voluntary Counselling and Testing Centres (CATV) in the province of Cunene, an additional 33 cases compared to the same period in 2019.

The information was provided Tuesday in Ondjiva, by Octávio Chihepo, supervisor of the HIV epidemiological surveillance programme in Cunene, pointing out that the positive cases resulted from the 22,494 tests carried out, compared to 17,97 of the previous year.
