Tunisia: New Budget Management Approach Would Allow Tunisia to Reduce External Debt - Study

Tunis/Tunisia — Tunisia would be able to reduce its external debt from 16.7 billion dinars to about 8.6 billion dinars, by adopting a new budget management approach, reveals a study prepared by academic Ridha Chkoundali.

In a statement to TAP, Chkoundali said to finance a budget estimated at 52.6 billion dinars this year, Tunisia needs about 16.7 billion dinars in external borrowing.
