Angola and Venezuela Establish Cooperation On Higher Education

Talatona — The Republics of Angola and Venezuela have recently established cooperation in academic and scientific field, said Marcos Barrica, general director of the Venâncio de Moura Diplomatic Academy, in Luanda.

The official, who was speaking at the ceremony of the 211th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Venezuela, celebrated today, July 5, explained that its institution and the Venezuelan Institute of Higher Diplomatic Studies Pedro Gual intend to cooperate in areas of scientific research and exchange of trainers.

Other joint actions that the two institutions intend to carry out, according to Marcos Barrica, are the organization and development of conferences, seminars, workshops, academic and professional training, as well as the preparation of teaching material and of scientific works' publication.

According to Marcos Barrica, the institutions established such cooperation, aware of the affective ties between the Angolan and Venezuelan people and of the potential of organizational and work experiences that characterize and identify them.

For the ambassador of Venezuela, Marlon José Peña Labrador, his country's ties with Angola has been developed in a climate of friendship, solidarity, trust, common values and principles.

"We must continue on this path and emphasize South-South cooperation. In this sense, we celebrate the signing of the twinning memorandum between our diplomatic academies, Venâncio de Moura in Luanda and Pedro Gual in Caracas", highlighted the diplomat.
