Angola: João Lourenço Congratulates Cabo Verde On Independence Anniversary

Luanda — The Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço, congratulated Tuesday the people and Government of Cabo Verde on their 47th anniversary of National Independence, marked today.

In a message to his counterpart José Maria Neves, the Angolan statesman said he was pleased to note that Cabo Verde is celebrating its anniversary with a record of relevant achievements at the economic and social levels.

The Angolan President adds that this fact places the Cabo Verdean nation among the most successful of the African continent, working towards progress and development.

In the message João Lourenço stresses his conviction that the joint efforts to strengthen cooperation ties will contribute to the success of initiatives for progress and well-being of the respective peoples.

Angola and Cabo Verde have politico-diplomatic and cooperation relations in several domains, with focus on farming, staff training in veterinary research, transport, agronomy, forestry and hydraulics.
