Angola: Elections2022 - P-Njango Backs Increase in State Budget for Food Security

Benguela — P-NJANGO named fight against hunger and poverty as top priority to ensure food security of the population.

Announced this was the party's representative in coastal Benguela, José Palata, on Tuesday, who said that fight against hunger entails an increase of the General State Budget (OGE) for the agriculture sector to stimulate the production of food, mainly among rural families.

Speaking to ANGOP, the representative of P-NJANGO also spoke of the need to produce seeds, increase the opening of factories for the production of machinery and other agricultural inputs.

He pointed out other proposals already included in the electoral programme of his political party.

They feature the improvement of roads to increase the distribution, trade and flow of agricultural products from the countryside to the cities.
