Angola: Disability Football - Angola Leave for World Cup, Vow to Retain the Title

Luanda — Angola's National Amputee Football Team, on 15-day training in Ankara, Turkey, vow to win the World Cup for the second time, with main focus on combating anxiety among players.

The game strategies were well absorbed by the team, with anxiety being a factor yet to be overcome, the coach Augusto Baptista "Cheto" has said.

Speaking to ANGOP on Wednesday in Luanda, prior to leave for final stage of their training, the coach said at the event, taking place on 30 Sept - 10 Oct, in European country, the national team have the mission to retain the title, after that one achieved in 2018 in Mexico.

Meanwhile, the last part of the work in Luanda based on improving defensive aspects and quick transitions to attack. All these actions were coordinated with the physical component.

In their training, Angola will face Uzbekistan counterpart, with four more games on the agenda with top Turkish clubs, such as Ezimir FC, Pendik SK, Trabzonsport and ODTU.

In the Turkish capital, the National Team will be at Bulu Training Center until the 28th, after which they will travel to Istanbul, the stage of the competition.
