i am from the uk , i have been visiting gambia for 15 years , on my last visit i noticed myself the lack of tourists . in my opinion this is due to many factors . the economic downturn and many people are not going far.last season the rate for the dalasi against the pound was only 36 and people are not aware it has gone back up to 44.the recent publicity about the human rights activists who where jailed last year. i think the president should maybe think before he speaks because he has been saying that he will kill gay people which is enough to put people off coming if you are gay or if you are not.also the tourist hustlers are becoming more aggresive in the way they go about there buisness . they are only trying to make a living and they dont bother me . but some people do not go outside the hotel because of them , i cannot understand how this is allowed to to go on.
