Glamour pastor, Reverend Chris Okotie, once again, is hitting the waves on yet another controversial note. He seems to have blended sufficiently well with controversies that whenever such social storms blow, he manages to emerge unruffled, and soon trudges on in life, as if he was never fazed by life's little hiccups.
This mans crime/sin is no different then what happens every day of the week
in the congregation. Sin has been an accepted form of living in this world
with the belief that it will always be a part of EVERY child of God until
He comes to take His sinful children home to a place where there is no sin.
So how are we to look at this pastor with any less or more of a judgment
attitude then any other sin committed by anyone else in church? And if sin
is just a part of life and the pastor is a human being just like everyone
else in church, then we must give him the same consideration as we give to
anyone else who sins, RIGHT?!
After counselling a few Nigerian and American families here in Miami
unofficially, I have come to the irrevocable belief in 8 out of ten cases,
the person that the party with the greater number of divorces is usually
the guilty party. If the man/woman is not harassed by economic need, it is
usually due to sexula incompatibilty or some hot temper. It is sometimes
due to poor hygiene. Only the parties know the inate qualities of each
other so let it be with Kris Okotie. Hey! I thought he was a musician.
