An international press freedom advocacy group, said on Thursday that it has launched investigation over the acts of piracy perpetrated against an independent Eritrean satellite Radio broadcaster, ERINA.
Not quite sure what the RSF means when it says "disruption of over-the-air
broadcasting by an authorized service" and "disruption of an automated data
processing system.
Who gave them the authority to broadcast to Eritrea? Surely not the
Eritrean Goverment which is responsible for the air waves of Eritrea. As
recent auctions of bandwiths have shown, the air waves are an important
commodity of a given soveriegn nation. The fact that the RSF is appealling
to the French authorities would indicate that they believe that Europeans
still own Africa. Eritrea, like any other nation in the World has the right
to control its airwaves.
