Barack Obama's re-election gave some Kenyans this week a reason to celebrate, seeing the US president whose father was Kenyan as one of their own. But as Obamamania quiets down, the East African nation will surely refocus attention on its own elections, now less than half a year away.
I wish Kimenchu was telling us that she won the two elections she viewed
for in Nairobi campus! I believe her classmates knew her well more than the
entire nation, if she failed to convince that small clique of people, how
sure is she that she can convince the whole nation! For her to stand is a
good move; but she cannot start climbing a tree at the top! She is still
young, she could have started maybe with a county representative and prove
herself worthy of leadership! She must remember Obama served in the senate
first, she cannot just come from the bush and want to lead the country!
