HAPPY NEW YEAR – A WISHFUL THINKING UNLESS
Although it is common parlance to wish ourselves and our people “Happy
new year” at the dawn of a new year, but how this wishful thinking and
prayerful demeanors have come through for many year in year out shall ever
remain a mirage.
One is however convinced that for a new year to become happiness
laden as wished for, we all as a people and a nation must rise above
sentimental feelings and ordinary prayers.
Ordinary prayers not backed by productive actions shall never be
enough to put buttered bread and tea on our breakfast tables.
We must be
prepared to face the challenges posed on us by failed leaders who are mere
sleep walkers on their duty posts.
We all Nigerians and indeed
Africans in general must be prepared to take the bulls by their horns.
We must be challenged to doing good things and engaged on good endeavours
right from today January 2013, driving ourselves to GOOD SUCCESS story
through increased productivity that enables joy celebrations all the year
round. To you all good peoples all over the world, in the wonderful name of
Christ Jesus and with deep love and warmest of affection, I say Happy and
blissful new year 2013.
