A scandal in the Zambian Football Association is brewing following revelations that the recently unveiled new sports kit for Chipolopolo supporters is a counterfeit not sanctioned by big time manufacturers, Nike.
The jerseys being sold with Nike on them are fake ones as the name of the
person mentioned in your article had them made in Thailand and are being
sold through two outlets - one in Lusaka and the other one in Ndola.
FAZ to support the national team, rather than enriching some of its
committee members who have been involved in fake jerseys business kept it a
close guarded secret and had the jerseys made with different design. Nike
was consulted and it caught Mr. Simwanza (a committee member) and his
financier operating a shop on Cairo Road were caught unaware and are behind
the mixing up of news so that they can continue selling fake replicas- with
