• Liberia: Constitution Must Consider Women Participation

    A Professor of Law at the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in the United States of America has told the Constitution Review Committee of Liberia that a constitution would not be democratic unless its revision considers women participation.

    all these gimmick (constitution review committee) are intended to make Ma Ellen run for the third time. We know all those that attend these meetings dont hide the truth.

    It must be noted that women in Africa are the leaders of the families... They are given the decisions making process of our families... There was nothing that I could get from my father without the approval from step-mother..In fact those whose families were still together meaning father and mother the children were referred to their mother anything..

    It is surprising to note that people who gained western education want to compare our values with the western values which not be...

    The African women have had the leadership role in our societies since time in memorial..So I don`t think when we learnt in the western world we should go to Africa and act like the western world have had more women rights when it is not so.
