I support capital punishment for an act like terrorism, but the problem
comes from who the punishment is prescribed. For instance, the media
reports of an arrest of 'suspected terrorists' which means anyone can be a
suspect. Law enforcement authorities are known for arresting and
imprisoning innocent people. If trials are conducted in accordance to due
process and the rule of law and a suspect is beyond reasonable doubt found
guilty, then death would be an appropriate punishment. The legal system in
Nigeria is highly flawed and I worry that innocent people may be declared
terrorists and killed by the state.
Bullshit, If there's laws that calls for capital Punishment in Nigeria, it
is that of Crime against the natioin in which Jonathan and his Executives
in the roach government have recklessly engaged since he took office. This
man have proven over and over why he's so incompetent to be the President
of a real nation like Nigeria. His action continue to betray who is by
default. This country have called for his government to invoke the death
penalty to stop the relentless looting and carnage over the national
treasury and he remined adamant because he's aware the first victim to such
legislation will be himself and his executives. Here's him invoking the
same legislation against containment of the natural response to his crime
of looting and robbery agaist the nations treasury. It is obvious this man
have no idea he's is on contract to hold this nation for a brief period on
behalf of the people who voted him to govern Boko Harem , I have always
argued, came as a natural response to an evil government. Social and
political instability is not going away untill the people's will is
enforced of respected. You can twist history as long as you want, you can
not twist the course of nature .
