Demonstrators and security forces have confronted one another and engaged in clashes across Egypt on the second anniversary of the revolution which deposed former president Hosni Mubarak.
Five people were killed on Friday including two conscripts after unknown assailants had attacked the city council building in Suez, secretary general of the Doctors' Syndicate in Suez Magdy al-Beheiri said.
Six members of the security forces tasked with guarding the Suez city council were shot on Friday after unidentified assailants shot at them with automatic machine guns, an Aswat Masriya eyewitness reported.
The number of people injured on Friday due to clashes in several governorates reached 379, the Ministry of Health said in a statement ON TV channel broadcast.
