Kenya's political elite, including Michuki (memorable for comparing Kenya's government to a poisonous snake), continue to amaze the world. Kibaki promised no tolerance for corruption; government corruption has been more than endemic; his backers claim that THAT is a record on the basis of which to violate the constitution and try to rig a SECOND presidential election??? God save Kenya from its coprocrats.
Who says Kibaki cannot win another election? Of course he can win. He has won twice before and why not the third time. Just cheat the likes of Raila with a memorandum of understanding and before you realize, they will be singing "Kibaki Tosha". If that does not work, then the next option is to go fulltime rigging. Print more ballot papers than registered voters, hire some youths to mark them and if possible recruit electoral commissioners that will reverse and inflate the vote numbers in his favor. No big deal. If there are riots and people die, the ICC prosecutor will look elsewhere for those who caused the violence. Not the riggers. Then we go on to extent to a 4th term and a 5th term and eventually, president for life to break Mugabe's record. Of course go for it Mr President. Kenya does not have other leaders capable of running the country. Just Kibaki and or Uhuru. End of story.
