Uganda: Low Output at Sugar Mills Leads to Shortages

As Uganda faces a sugar crisis that was initially thought to be caused by the routine maintenance of the sugar mills, it has emerged that the three major sugar producers are in fact producing below capacity. A mini-survey carried out across the country found that most shops had already run out of the commodity.
