Pires Accepts 2011 Ibrahim Prize for African Leadership

Pedro Verona Rodrigues Pires, the former President of Cape Verde, accepted the 2011 Ibrahim Prize for Achievement in African Leadership at a ceremony in Tunis on November 12. The Ibrahim Prize, which includes a $5 million annual payment over 10 years, recognises and celebrates excellence in African leadership.
