Just a few clarifications to the article about opposition protest in Guinea.
The opposition is not protesting the delay of the election as stated in the title of the article. The opposition is protesting the fact that the guy who stole the election for Alpha Conde in 2010,Louceny Camara, as a member of electoral council, remains on the council today and serves as its president. Opposition forces demand he step down and that the council be reorganized so that the opposition is fairly represented on it.
This is not an idle concern of the opposition - Camara was convicted of electoral fraud in 2010 and sentenced to a year in prison. If it had not been for his theft of thousands of ballots in the first round,Cellou Dalein Diallo, would have won the election outright.
Regarding reaction to the protest, one would expect it to be "mixed." The opposition loved it and the Conde administration, well, not so much. Unfortunately, the article fails to tell the reader that there were 80,000 opposition supporters in the streets and they had a hell of a rally after the march, both of which were cause for concern for Conde.
