End of Refugee Status for Liberian and Angolan Refugees

By this weekend people who fled from Liberia and Angola and remain abroad during the civil wars in both countries will no longer be regarded as refugees by UNHCR and host governments. On June 30, cessation clauses will enter into force for refugees from the two countries.

Thanks a lot friends for all the brainlian comment, my question to the UNHCR and the International Committee are they also going to send back home those on Asylum and Resettlement in the Western world like America, Australia Ect. and by the way how can one spend more than 5 years outside their home under tension and bring back just like an animal.

I believe it is a mistake to forced people who fled from civil unrest and wars and lived in exile for more than 5 or 10 years anywhere to go back not on their own accord. Ghana is part of Africa and if those that are still there feel comfortable living there, let them live. I believe wherever you live and life is ok for you, that's your home.Although there is no place like where your liver string is buried, most times, life is more important than birthplace.Let them live!UNHCR should be shame of itself.
