Nigeria's New Oil Chief Promises Change
The new head of Nigeria's state oil corporation, Andrew Laah Yakubu, has pledged "transparency and accountability" after taking over from his predecessor, who was fired by the government. The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation in the body through which the government regulates and participates in the oil industry.
