Nigeria Nominates First Woman Chief Justice

President Goodluck Jonathan formally nominated the most senior justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Alooma Mariam Mukhtar, as first female chief justice of Nigeria (CJN) and presented her name to the Senate for confirmation.
