Kenya: Officials Sacked Over Dorm Fire

Education Minister Mutula Kilonzo fired Homa Bay County Director of Education Beatrice Asiango and District Education Officer William Okumu following the deaths of eight students in a dormitory fire at Asumbi Girls Boarding School, which held classes over the holidays despite a ban.
