Battery and Violence, Uganda's Open Secret

Domestic violence has been on the rise and affects more than two thirds of Ugandan women, according to the 2006 Uganda Demographic and Health Survey. The survey revealed that seven out of ten women say abuse is justified when they make certain mistakes.
