Court Stops National Health Insurance Rates Increment

The Court has stopped new National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) rates, which were to be effected from next month. In an application by Justice Linet Ndolo, the Kenya Union of Domestic Hotels Educational Institutions Hospitals and Allied Workers (Kudhehia) requested new increment be put on hold till further notice.

The new rates gazetted on July 2, 2012, will go into effect on October 1, 2012.
