New Mandela Notes Reflect South Africa's Pride

The Reserve Bank has launched a communication campaign to introduce the country's new series of banknotes honouring former president Nelson Mandela.

The campaign is aimed at educating and raising public awareness of the new banknotes and the reverse side of each denomination features an image of one of the "big five" animals.

    Mr Nelson Mandela is the dignified statesman who represents every beast or mankind who has suffered under the hands of hard-hearted and brutal men and women. South Africa and the world at large should be proud to claim this gem of a man of our era.
