The global anti-U.S. protests spread due to the total lack of leadership and ineptness of the U.S. government. People in leadership position should be "pro-active," not "reactive," but Mr. Obama came too late into this global anti-U.S. imbroglio that is sweeping across the world. Obama should have been "pro-active," and have called the Google CEO as soon as the anti-Muslim film surfaced, and demanded that Google take it down because it was detrimental to our national security. And if Google refused, he should have ordered the U.S. Justice Department to petition a U.S. Federal Court to ban it on reasons national security.

Now. If someone tell me: "Hey, it is free speech," or, if the president think it is free speech, here is my answer. If national security is important enough to go through 2 wars in the last 10 years, and sacrifice the lives of thousand of our own troops, and kill hundreds of thousands of others, then national security reasons should be good enough to ban a 14 speech hate video. After all, we have hate crimes laws here, and most European countries have laws that ban any activity that may "incite violence!"

But there is another reason Obama should have moved instantly to ban the film: Even if his efforts with either Google or the Federal Court had failed, Obama would have proved to the Muslim world that he felt exactly like them, but he couldn't legally stop it! Then the Muslim crowds would have mostly directed their wrath against the Israeli producer of the film - not against the U.S.! That would have been leadership, but, sadly, we don't have it!
