It was good to hear such outright rebuttal from Ms Nelson. I am please she has made a fuss about it and long long may she continue to emphasis the importance of who we are and cherish our given features and beauty

However, being a light skinned Ghanaian I know how the perception of being light skinned appear be an advantage. In fact, unfortunately people do say it is better to have a lighter skin complexion than not. You see it in fashion, in the media and now in Ghanaian films. Lets recognise and educate ourselves. However, so long as images of beautiful people in the various media appear with lighter complexions we can continue to compound the problem/Dilemma Ms Nelson faces.
