Nigeria: Birds Menace Cost Airlines At Airports

Country's Airspace Management Agency urged to limit the incidence of bird strikes at all airports as it costs an airline over $450,000 to change a blade of an aircraft engine following an injection of birds.

A bird strike has caused one of the engines of a Nigerian Boeing to malfunction. The pilot's expertise is said to have saved the lives of 100 passengers with his expertise.
