I am not sure the metric Ibrahim uses to score the governance of African nations, but the recent report reflecting an improvement in Liberia is frankly commendable . I am a glass- half full kind of guy . And giving where Liberia was after the war compared to where the nation is today, it is rather inarguable that Liberia has made great strides. Corruption still remains a serious issue, but this issue has existed for eons in Liberia; so the questions we aught to be asking should include: are efforts being made to mitigate corruption? Is the slow progress on this front surprising, considering how long this culture has festered? Is the nation determined to affect corruption despite the tenacity? The answer the these questions is a resounding 'YES'. So in lieu of looking for stats that will denigrate the Governance of the Liberian government, let us acknowledge and applaud the progress however little it may be and then challenge the government to do more. I think this is the logical step to achieving a culture with very minimum corruption.
