Uganda Legislators Clash Over Minister's Oil Powers

The government had initially proposed the energy minister be responsible for granting and revoking licenses, negotiating and endorsing petroleum agreements and approving field development plans, however, members of parliament argue this would make the ministry susceptible to corruption.
