Massive Theft of Diamond Revenue in Zimbabwe - Report

A lobby group's report on Zimbabwe's diamond fields has alleged that Zimbabwe's diamond industry is being looted by government officials. It also says it is characterized by gross trade irregularities and a lack of revenue transparency.

    I am highly disgusted and disappointed to learn or finally prove that we were right all along that zanu pf and mugabe have been busy looting the diamonds of the country and that they have been blaming the west as a cover up. We all knew and we are aware that these people do not care about the ordinary Zimbabweans. Look at the infrastractures in the country, roads, lighting, schools, hospitals, etc, that money could have been used to develop Zimbabwe and improve the lives of the people. Africans, we are still a million miles away from good governance, its a shame. I now believe that Ian Smith was right when he said 'prove me wrong that Africans can never rule a country effectively'. I know that it hates, but its true.
