THIS WILL NEVER SOLVE THE PROBLEM OF THE MILITANTS. THE POLICY WILL ONLY SERVE AS A KIND OF RECRUITING SERGEANT FOR MORE MILITANTS. THERE IS GOING TO BE INTERMINABLE LINE OF MILITANTS FOR EVER QUEUING UP FOR HAND OUTS. THIS IS GOING TO BE LIKE A LICENCE FOR THE DELTA WAR LORDS TO PRINT MONEY. THEY WILL CREATE PHANTOM MILITANTS TO GET AS MUCH MONEY AS POSSIBLE. WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT ANYWAY THE ENDEMIC CORRUPTION IN NIGERIA?

This is quite an encouragement of violence for some elements in the country to intimidate a weak government to submission. Other groups in Nigeria are more likely to take up arms as a means of deriving undeserved incomes from the government. It is a dangerous policy. One may link Boko Aram violence to wanting to be treated like the Delta "militants" and unconfirmed reports say that the amount to be paid to Boko Aram have been secretly discussed by the presidency. We shall soon have the 36 states of the federation having their own "militants". Then the alleged 34 billion naira will have to be multiplied by 36. Where are going from here?
