US$ 750 million Eurobond which the Zambian government successfully issued, reveals president Sata's vision for the country's development.Firstly, the intended health and education infrastructre development,is believed to to improve basic social services provision. Investing in education, particularly, builds human capital. On the other hand, transport and energy infrastructure development, will have a direct economic benefit to the people of Zambia. What has been stated above is what every Zambian expects to see. But,HOW ACHIEVABLE are government's plans? What measures are going to be put inplace to ensure that the money is utilized properly? Hopefully the sum will be spent meaningfully for the benefit of all.Afterall, whenever a country accumulates debts, each head shoulders the burden. And,my appeal to the PF government is to ensure that there are no INEQUALITIES in regional development of the country.Urban school infrastructure, for instance, should be developed in the same way as rural ones.Similarly,we hope to see roads construction in rural areas.
