The Bill also breaks the Articles of the Commonwealth, to which Uganda is a signatory. In May 2011, Musevengi signed the Commonwealth Affirmation that no-one would be discriminated against or persecuted/prosecuted because of their sexuality.I have written to the Secretary General of the Commonwealth asking for his views on the Bill and what he is prepared to do to stop it. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is head of the Commonwealth and anyone can write to her at Buckingham Palace, London, UK.
